Walking Mountain : Joan Lennon
Literature event for P4 – 7 (English)
Every year, for as long as anyone can remember, the Mountain has moved a little northwards. But now it’s moving in the opposite direction. And it’s picking up speed. Join Joan Lennon as she introduces her latest novel Walking Mountain, looking at where this story of impending disaster and unlikely friendships began, and how she went about inventing a strange future world that is fantastic and familiar at the same time.
Joan Lennon lives and writes in the Kingdom of Fife, overlooking the silvery River Tay, with a view of trees and grey slate roofs and a skyscape it would be hard to better. Joan writes historical adventures for 8-12s, fantasy and science fiction for older readers, silly stories for younger audiences, and gripping tales for less confident readers.
