To launch the festival and on the eve of the Collector Extraordinaire exhibition opening we could think of no better way to begin than with the return of these two exceptionally talented musicians.
Building on the rapturous response to last year’s concert, Roopa and Dalbir will once more enchant the audience sharing Rāags – melodic compositions and Taals – rhythmic patterns that evoke and capture the season and time of the concert.
Roopa Panesar, considered one of the finest Sitar players to emerge on the Indian music scene in the UK will once again be accompanied on Tabla by Dalbir Singh Rattan another gifted UK musician and virtuoso of the Benares Gharana.
This is sure to be another evening of spellbinding music from the duo that received a standing ovation at last years festival.
