This class with designer, weaver and textiles historian Chris Hammacott is an opportunity to practice the specific techniques and stitches that make Indian embroidery so vibrant and unusual. You will learn a range of Indian embroidery techniques from mirrored shisha work, rabari and cretan stitches to reverse applique and beadwork. Each session you will build new skills to help you create amazing bags, purses and cushions, or go all out to make the perfect Toran: the embroidered and appliqued hanging for over the door that blesses the home. No previous experience needed, just a love of colour and texture.
