The work of photographer Andrea Ingram is characterised by its experimental and playful qualities, and often a quiet sense of humour. A long term resident of the island, Andrea has been documenting life on the Outer Hebrides for 10 years, capturing local personalities and stunning landscapes using a variety of vintage film cameras and techniques.
Recent work by Andrea has explored concepts such as movement and time, recalling the work of Eadweard Muybridge and the Vorticist movement in her depictions of cyclists and figures.
For this event Andrea will talk about her work, focusing on her more recent explorations in photography. These will also be the subject of the launch of our new limited edition artist mongoraph AE, which will also be available to buy on the evening.
