An Lanntair is bursting with events and activities made for and by young people. An Lanntair runs Art Labs in Ness, Uig, Tarbert and Bragar where you can go to make your own artwork with some amazing new digital arts equipment. Or if you have brilliant ideas for arts projects for young people like you, why not join ‘Board not Bored’? An lanntair’s new youth arts board which is helping put together our Youth Arts Festival Las! / Ignite!.
If you’re considering a career in a creative industry there are projects you can get involved with now to inspire you and to help you grow your skills. Just imagine: in a few years it could be your exhibition in the Gallery…, or you might be opening your new play to a sell-out home audience…. The possibilities are endless…

Term time only
Do you have any budding thespians looking to develop their acting skills? Let them tread the boards as part of an Lanntair’s drama club. Children can come and learn acting, direction, and make new friends.
An Lanntair have now established four ‘Arts Hubs’ in Uig, Ness, Harris and Bragar equipped with materials and equipment allowing them to provide access to a wide range of art forms.
Saturdays in term time
A range of visual art and design activities for Primary school children every Saturday in term time. Saturday art clubs are taught by An Lanntair Education and Outreach staff and freelance artists. Wear clothes that can get messy. P1 – P2 : 1- 2pm. P3 – P4 : 2.30 – 3.30pm. P5 – P7 : 4 – 5pm

Children will gain experience of: Kathack Dance – a traditional India dance used for storytelling; Djembe and Indian percussion instruments; Singing; Shadow- Puppet making and Animation.

Our Education Team, accompanied by musician and sculptor Sarah Kenchinton, return to the HebCelt festival grounds to create another art project with children and families. Inspired by trees and the natural surroundings of the Lews Castle Grounds, the team will be creating organic interlinking pods and tunnels from tissue and willow.
